1. Fabiola, a 4th century Roman lady built the first

public hospital in 397 AD.

2.Liu Yong is the first Chinese female astronaut to

travel into space. She is(B:6 October, 1978) a Chinese pilot and

astronaut who served as a crew member on the space mission

Shenzhou-9.On 16 June 2012, she became the first Chinese

woman in space.

3. India’s female tennis player, Nirupama Vaidyanathan

(B:8 December 1976) is the first Indian female to win a Grand Slam

main draw match at the Australian open 1998.

4.Christiane Nusselein(B:20 October 1942) was jointly awarded Nobel Prize in

physiology  or medicine 1995, for her discoveries concerning

the genetic control of embryonic development.

5. Marion Donovan(B:October 15, 1917;D:November 4, 1998)

was an American inventor and entrepreneur. She is best known for

developing the first waterproof disposable diaper, worn by infants.

6. Hanna Reitsch(B:29 March 1912;D:24 August 1979)

was Germany’s most famous female aviatrix and test pilot.

She was the first woman to fly a Helicopter, Rocket Plane

and a Jet Fighter.

7. Shobhana Bhartia(Born 1957) is the Chairperson and

Editorial Director of the Hindustan Times Group. She was

listed as the 93rd most powerful woman by Forbes. She

is also the Pro-Chancellor of Birla Institute of Technology

and Science. She served as a nominated member of Rajya

Sabha, the upper chamber of the Indian Parliament

from 2006 to 2012.

8.Syeda Anwara Taimur was the first Muslim female

Chief Minister of Assam from 6 December 1980 to

30 June 1981.

9.Mehbooba Mufti of the Peoples Democratic Party

is the second Muslim woman Chief Minister of Jammu

and Kashmir.
