1.Every cell in our body is surrounded by a cell membrane,

composed of  fatty acids. The cell membrane allows the

proper amounts of  necessary nutrients to enter the cell

and ensure that waste products are quickly removed

from the cell. Cells, without a healthy membrane, lose

their ability to communicate with other cells. Researchers

believe that loss of  ‘cell to cell communication’  leads to growth

of  cancerous tumors. To perform their functions optimally, the

cell membrane must maintain its integrity and fluidity. When

omega-3 fatty acids are incorporated into cell membranes, they

protect the body from cardiovascular disease(by raising  the good

HDL cholesterol which promotes heart health), diabetes, depression

and breast cancer.It also reduces joint pain, hypertension and obesity.

 Omega-3 that are found in fish are called EPA(eicosapentaenoic acid)

and DHA(docosahexaenoic acid);

Omega-3 found in plant products are called ALA(alphalinolenic acid).

The body cannot produce them, so they must be taken in through diet.

Non-fish eaters  need to consume large amount of vegetables  containing

the highest amount of ALA in their daily diet. Vegetables such as spinach,

broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, lettuce, kidney beans, beans, yellow onions,

spaghetti, turnip greens,flax seeds,walnuts, green peppers, brussels sprouts

and all herbs contain ALA. Omega-3 fatty acids that are found in vegetables

are  polyunsaturated fats. Body converts only 2 percent of ALA  into  EPA,

the most beneficial form of  omega-3. Diets rich in omega-3 fats, produce

cell membranes  with a high degree of  fluidity.

2.Federal regulations in U.S.A. prohibit the use of  hormones or steroids

in poultry.

3.Flimsy footwear offer minimal support for the 26 bones of the feet.

Switch to sturdier, athletic shoes when walking long distances, playing

sports, gardening or mowing  the  lawn.

4.Arthrities is the swelling of the joints and weakening of the bones.

Two common forms of  arthritis are-a)Osteoarthrities(also known as

degenerative joint disease) which affects the cartilage and makes 

movement painful.b)Rheumatoid arthrities occur when the body’s

immune system mistakenly attacks the synovium(cells lining the

inside of the joints) and this causes painful inflammation, swelling

and loss of  function. ( stiffness)  The bodily  joints are surrounded

by a layer of cartilage which is a kind of protective lubricant. Pain

in  the joints is caused by damage to the cartilage.

Avoid these food items that aggravate the patient’s agony,

although they don’t actually cause arthrities:-

red hot chilli powder, cheese, pork, eggs, beef, cow’s milk,

peanuts, soya, oats, corn, wheat, malt, lemon, oranges, tomato,

coffee,rye, grapefruit.    

Apart from food, excessive alcohol consumption and smoking

have both shown a link to arthrities.

5.Snoring is usually a symptom of obstructed breathing,

a loud protest that the body isn’t getting  full  amount of

oxygen it needs. During the period of obstructive breathing,

the heart has to work hard to pump more blood to circulate

throughout  the body. The extra work , if allowed to go on,

for many years, will weaken the heart and it develops irregular

beats. Blood pressure increases and results in an enlargement of

the heart. Snorer may have obstructive sleep and feel tired in the

morning. They become aggressive  or rebellious and show clumsiness,

forgetfulness, hypertension, heart diseases and stroke.

Can snoring  be cured? Yes. They should adopt an athletic

lifestyle and do regular physical exercise.
